Picking the right terminator is vital to the performance of your SCSI chain. A passive terminator is simply a resistor network designed to regulate the impedance in the line, while an active terminator uses a voltage regulator to optimize signal voltage. Active termination is always preferred over passive, and most of our Active Terminators feature an LED to monitor terminator power line status.
